For companies and groups who wish to use AR technology for business purposes, we offer 2 different AR solutions – “Sekai Camera eX” and “OpenAir for Publishers API”.

Some examples of how the above services have been used are the following:

  • Providing information to visitors of restaurants, various stores (chains, department stores), shopping malls, museums, stadiums, zoos, amusement parks, and tourist spots.
  • Providing information, gaming and incentives to visitors to various promotional events, festivals, music/sports/entertainment events, and other activities.

The Difference Between Sekai Camera eX and OpenAir for Publishers API

Both services let you post Air Tags in the AR world created by Sekai Camera. You may select either service according to the number, time, and amount you would like to post your contents. As a basic rule, API usage is recommended for users who have a large amount of existing contents, such as web based information services providing restaurant information, etc.

If any of the following apply to you, Sekai Camera eX should be the right service:

  • You don’t have much content to post (less than several hundred).
  • You won’t update the contents often (less than once a month).
  • Your contents aren’t linked to location data.
  • You wish to post your contents as soon as possible.
  • System coordination with API is difficult.

If any of the following apply to you, OpenAir for Publishers API would be the right service for you:

  • You already have content which are linked to location data.
  • You have lots of contents to post (more than several thousand).
  • You will need to update the contents often (at least once a week).
  • You have the technical capability to conduct system coordination with API.

Notice

Please note the following when using Sekai Camera for your business:

  • The current version of Sekai Camera eX does not have payment services to provide for-fee contents.
  • Air Tags are linked to location (latitude and longitude) using GPS, and are not linked to particular objects. Therefore, you cannot attach Air Tags to moving objects.
  • Accuracy of GPS in mobile devices may not be accurate by a margin of up to 50 – 100 meters. Please be aware that Air Tags will float at “approximate” locations – It will be difficult to control exactly where the Air Tag shows up.
